DIY Outdoor Pallet Furniture

So, we just moved into our new apartment with a ton more space (thank goodness) and we lucked out with a private outdoor area!  However, we needed to find some furniture to fill in the emptiness.  After searching around, we quickly realized that outdoor furniture was just as expensive as indoor furniture – and that was not within our budget.  I searched the internet for multiple different styles of DIY furniture for outdoors and came upon a ton of listings for furniture made out of pallets.  The look and sturdiness of the furniture was fantastic and the price was definitely in our budget.

Amazing idea!!!! Would you care to share a step by step and a general cost for the base. I have access to skids. I would love to reuse something otherwise discarded or burned. Would love to hear from you and others ; )

    Cheers & Peace,

    1. Kelly,

These are made 100% of pallets. I stacked two pallets on top of each other and then cut a third off of the last pallet as the back. secure it in place with some boards running top to bottom and your are good. if you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

So all you used to secure the pallets was extra boards nailed to the back?

    1. Yup, you got it! Through the winter, rain storms, etc, it has been over a year and they are still super sturdy

      1. How did you attach the two pallets together for the table?

  5. Hi, I’ve been looking all over for the easiest way to do this, this is great. But I can’t quite see how you put the back on. Would you give more detail and a better photo? Much appreciated.

  6. Hi I am wondering where/ how you handled the cushions! They look super cute.

    1. They are just some simple outdoor cushions and pillows that we found. Weather resistant and fast drying. We had looked into making our own but the fabric and the outdoor foam blocks are quite expensive.

  7. Pretty nice post. I just stumbled upon your weblog and wished to say that I have really enjoyed
browsing your blog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!

Where did u find the cushion part where u
Seat on? Did u make it yourself?

    1. Hi Isabel. We took measurements and shopped around for outdoor cushions on sale, something like this -http://thd.co/1pkXQHr. We separated it at the seam and used the pillows separately.

  10. Pretty! This has been an extremely wonderful post. Many thanks for supplying
    these details.
